The Deni Playground Advisory Council brought back organized youth sports with a baseball team in the summer of 2007.

In the spring of 2008, DPAC President Dan Savage named Deni Playground’s Baseball Team the Deni Whiz Kids. The name came from the 1950 National League Title Team, the Philadelphia Phillies (who were known as the Whiz Kids).

The Deni Whiz Kids consists of boys and girls ages 3-14. There is coed instructional baseball for children ages 3-5 and a 5-8 year old coed T-Ball & Coach Pitch. In addition, we have four traveling teams. The traveling teams compete in the NEPL. The traveling teams consist of a 9-10, 11-12, and a 13-14 boys baseball team, as well as an 11-12 girls softball team.
