Welcome to the home of the Deni Playground Advisory Council, the Deni Whiz Kids, and Deni Playground. The Deni Playground Advisory Council is an advisory council that provides sports to the youth surrounding Deni Playground. Deni Playground is a neighborhood recreational park in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. The Deni Whiz Kids are Deni's baseball and softball teams.
The 2009 Deni 3v3 Basketball Sign-ups will be Wednesday, August 26, 2009 and Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Deni Playground Basketball Courts. The registration fee will be $20.
The Deni 3v3 Basketball League is co-ed for ages 10-13.
The season will start on Saturday, September 12th and run until Saturday, October 31st. The games will be played on Saturday mornings.

The Deni Playground Advisory Council will be holding Baseball and Softball Registration on Friday, March 6th and Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at St. Joachim Church’s Pope John Paul II Room from 6 – 7:30 pm.

The in-house coed baseball league for ages 8-10 and the in-house coed t-ball team for ages 5-8 will cost $15.
The 11-12 girl’s softball traveling team and an 11-12 and 13-14 boys baseball team will cost $30 a child. The 3rd child in a family will be free. The travel teams will be playing in the Northeast Peanut League.
The cut-off date for the child’s age for traveling baseball is May 1st; girl’s softball is January 1st. All travel players are required to have a copy of their birth certificate.
The Deni Baseball/Softball season will start at the end of March and run till the end of June.
The final sign-up for Deni Playground’s 3v3 Basketball League will be this Tuesday, August 19 from 6:30 – 8pm at Deni Playground’s Clubhouse, which is located next to the baseball diamond. Deni Playground is located at 1381 Ruan Street (Adams and Church). The registration fee is $10. The league will run from Saturday, September 6th till Saturday, October 25th. All games will be played at Deni Playground on Saturday mornings. The 3v3 Basketball League is for 9-14 year olds (girls and boys). The Deni Playground Whiz Kids second season of baseball is finally underway. The success of the first season at Deni Playground in over twenty years last summer has brought the teams back with many new members.
There are two tee-ball teams for children ages 5-8 and two baseball teams for children ages 9-12.
The teams play on Wednesday & Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. The competition is heating up and all the teams plan on giving it their all.
The Deni Playground Advisory Council is coaching the teams with the help of a few parents. They are hoping that this second season will get the players ready to be more competitive next year and travel to other playgrounds for games. The Northeast Peanut League plays teams in the lower and greater NE sections of Philadelphia.
With one more season under their belts the Deni Whiz Kids will be ready to take their skills on the road. We wish them the best of luck on the rest of their season. Go Blue and Go Red!

In the fall of 2007, construction began on new basketball courts, sidewalks, and fencing surrounding Deni Playground. This was made possible by former Councilman Daniel J. Savage. Councilman Savage, now President of the Deni Playground Advisory Council, brought much needed attention and repairs to the playground. The new basketball courts are remilled, color coated and ready for some basketball.
The Deni Playground Advisory Council will be sponsoring Deni Playground’s first ever 3v3 Basketball League on the new courts. The 3v3 Basketball League will run from September 6th till October 25th.
